For you who don’t know about Katawa Shoujo:
Katawa Shoujo mean, disabled/cripple girls. This is a Japanese style of Dating Sim, or more precisely, a visual novel and released by Four Leaf Studio. For short, it’s a text heavy game
If you like to reading Novel or short story, this is a good choice for you.

When this game was in development, I was expecting if this game will be SFW, a.k.a Safe For Work. But when it released, I saw the download link is saying about 18 years old of minimum age, it mean this game is eroge, or NSFW.

To be honest, I kinda dissapointed. Because this is a eroge, it mean not everyone can play it (but probably, it doesn’t matter, kids these day don’t care about rating at all). But thank god, the amount of ero scene is not that much and I enjoy the story.

Just like most visual novel, you will play as Hisao Nakai, a lucky bastard (with hearth problem) that will dating (and hopefully have sex) several girls in the process, so yeah…

Katawa Shoujo is delivering messages to all of us, of how disable people run their life.
We must admit if there are lot of “normal” people in the community who are thinking if disabled people are useless because the’re not normal, because they loosing something (physically), because they’re waiting for their death, because they’re disgusting for being imperfect, and their imperfection made them deserve no love nor happiness, and their imprefction made them a second class citizen, or even third class citizen…

And I don’t talk bull shit here.

The reason why I know this because I do have disabled friend, I know how he struggling for equality, how he must facing problem over problems.
And this is one of many reason why I’m interested with Katawa Shoujo.

Contrary to what most common people believe, disabled people don’t live in pathetic life. Sometimes common people treat them like they’re also mentally disabled, and this game can open your mind of how they run their life.

I must admit though, not everybody are happy. They do struggling to overcome their problem, like how they must walking alone without vision, running without legs, communicating without hearing, eating without hands, dealing with people who saw ugly appearance, and many others…

During my first encounter with my blind friend, about 6 or 7 years ago. I was questioning, how did he actually operating a computer? He said he can use computer, but how? So I go to his home and find the truth, he shows me how he working on a computer.
And I was like “ow, I see. Bill Gates seems care about blind people too”
And they even can play games, some of them are even kicking ass on Starcraft II game, good god

Rain Season this year is…unique.

Why? Because, a political term also involved. Few days ago, the big tree the one that owned by one of our ex President is collapse. And some people believe, someone in a high position inside our governmental area will be down.

When I heard about this, it makes me imagine a lot of people…may be all of them. All of those shitty & corrupted official.

But ofcourse I will not talk about politic.

Few days ago, I was at Droid Cafe, having a meeting with friends, and the go back home. I use busway as my main transportation. And when I’m about to transit to the next corridor, I have to deal with this…again.

I have line up for at least over than 200 meters away from the gate. A gate where we will took inside the bus. And, this is not my first time, it was my third times (if memory serve right…).

The reason why me and other need to do that is, the bus is so effing late! The rain causing so many traffic jam in almost all over the place. Even Busway got it own lane, but still affected by the traffic.

I start to go home at 7 PM, and arrived at.. 11 PM…

Then the Manga was published, love the art and the story in the manga but hated so much the Anime. Yeah, I prefer the Manga than the Anime, may be because the Manga version is the original version and gave me so much impact

And now…

I have seen several Japanese movie from anime based, like Casshern and Yatterman. Casshern was so different from the Anime version, but still interesting. So I hope this one also meet my expectation because this movie is being handled by Japanese. Why? Because, Japanese Manga/Anime story being movie-ed by hollywood guys tend to have an epic fail, a lot.

madoka

Puella Magi Madoka Magica, a tragic Mahou Shoujo series. A dark side of Mahou Shoujo, where most of them are died or turning into something that they were hunted.

The main plot is simple, a sick girl got a new friend. But it turn out, her friend is dying because of a creature that called as Witch. As normal Mahou shoujo series, there always be a familiar, animal, or funny/weird creature that came along with the Magic Girl. Madoka is no different. So, let me introduced you with this mother-fucker-annoying creature: Kyubee, the major source of all fucked up.

Kyubee, or QB (for short) is a freakin’ creature that can grant a wish for any girl that qualified enough to be a Puella Magi. And as for the return, your soul will be transferred into a tiny item like a Russian egg, and called as soul gem, and you must fight the Witches that appear in you area. And oh, I forgot to tell you, if your Soul Gem is getting darker and darker without getting any purifier, that’s the time where you’re became matured and… hatched into a Witch… sour about life eh…?

So, this sick girl is trying to safe her beloved friend, wishing to this white asshole above if she want to go back to the past. Her wish is granted, now she’s a Puella Magi with “hyper clock up” ability. With this ability, she can always turn back time, whenever she’s mess up, failed, or even resulting unsatisfied end.

Aaaand, she’s mess up several time (give her a break, she’s a weak and sick girl, man!).
Whenever the time come, where they must dealing a big inverted woman thing that called as Walpurgis Night, a badass Witch with badass power, her beloved friend is dead/dying/or even worst, might become a witch. And Whenever she’s turning back time, her beloved friend is getting stronger and stronger (and of course, when her ultra powerful beloved friend is become Puella Magi and unable to purifying her Soul Gem, well… game over).

This girl name is Akemi Homura, and her Beloved friend is Madoka Kaname.

So,… then Madoka eventually understand about everything.
Madoka decided to become Puella Magi (just as planned by the white shithead above) with a wish to eradicated all Witch in this universe. Since Madoka is now a Godly Puella Magi (Homura’s ability is amplfying Madoka’s power whenever Homura turning back time), she can do it.

And what is the catch…?

Well, since Madoka mess up the past, present and future time to prevent the existence of Witch, she cannot stay as entity in any time. She must stay as a part of the universe, no one will remember her, no one will know her, not even that white bastard. Only Homura who can remember her, well she’s having ability to mess up the time line too and she’s also the reason why Madoka having a wish, so yeah… we need at least someone who still remember her, or else… the fans will raged like a bitch.

QB is hanging around like a boss

Do you know, how long that I need to go to Mall Ciputra at West Jakarta, while I’m at East Jakarta area? A Freakin’ TWO AND A HALF HOUR!

I met with my friend, also a customer of mine. When his order is arrived, I thought he will ask me to meet him right away, but no, he’s chilling out. I was wondering, what happen? And it turn out, he got a Term Test in his College.

So we met at one of Anime store there, and we move our ass to KFC because my stomach is in non-stop growling since I took the second bus. I was forgot to have a breakfast, so when I arrived at 12:30 PM, I was in hunger badly.

I order one chicken, rice, and cola. Also a cream soup, but damn…! The KFC guy’s gave me the wrong soup! Oh well, it’s my fault too, didn’t open the lid and check the soup first.

Okay, let’s talk about the title. What is a Caps Head?

Caps is a short name of Capacitors. What Madoka hold in the photo above is an Electrolytic Capacitor. This Capacitor is used to store power and provide you a stable power line into your electronic circuits.

You can find capacitors in your PC motherboard, Graphic Card, audio player, etc. And the one that used by Madoka right now is an audio grade capacitor. And this baby is a wallet flatterer.

The one that I bought is Elna Cerafine, this capacitor is used for audio equipments. Well, not alwasy for audio, for your computer motherboard also good.

The black square thing with eight legs on her head is a DIP Socket with IC on it.
DIP Socket, or people tend to call it as IC socket, is used to house the IC legs. So whenever you wanted to replace or upgrade, you just pull out the IC from the DIP Socket.

The IC on her head is OPA 2134PA from Burr Brown.
OPA 2134PA is an Operator Amplifier IC. This IC is used to amplifying the audio signal from your audio players, like iPod, Sansa clip, Computer, Laptop, etc.

To go to Mall Ciputra, I need 2.5 hours. To go back, I also need 2.5 hours because of daily afternoon ritual, traffic jam.

I can’t imagine myself, if I got a job at West Jakarta, it mean, I must wasting 5 hours of my life in a transportation. That’s suck, no wonder I felt nothing when some of my relatives are making fun of me because I got no real job. I feel nothing wrong to have no real job. A job is a job, I don’t care if people called as no real job, I just don’t care. As long as returning an income to me, it’s all good.

So, what’s the relation between Gaming and Betting? Here’s the fun begin. After I’ve wandering around in TeamLiquid forum, I found an interesting betting features, and one of their sponsor also creating their own betting site, e-sport Betting League or ESBL.

Basically, this is a feature that allow you to guess the result of a game tournament (in this case, Starcraft). For you who might not know, Starcraft players already entering the professional world. It mean, they’re got paid to play the game, they make living from the game, and they’re damn famous like a celebrities.

Let’s go back to the Betting things.
First, you will not dealing with something like this. Second, it’s free, no real money involved. So you don’t have to worry about anything.

This is just for fun, this betting game basically a guessing game, who will be the winner or what is the final result of the game/tournament, just like betting on horse race, or soccer play.
There are alot of Profesional Starcraft player like Boxer, Marine King Prime, Nestea, etc. While people enjoy their game, we can also play our own game, a betting game. Marine King Prime vs Nestea, who is the winner? what is the final result? 2-1? 2-0? Something like that.

In e-sport betting league (ESBL), we can place our guess by betting the point we have. For a new member, they got 100 eDol (e-Dollar), as your virtual money. The more you got correct guess on betting, the more eDol you got.

Just like in Starcraft, there’s a League that ranked the betting participants into several level. The more you win, the higher your rank.

Now, the question is, what if I loose all of my eDol? How do I refill? Do I need to pay?
NOPE. Like I told you before, this is just for fun, no real money involved. All account with less than 100 eDol will be automated refilled by 50 eDol in the next day. So you will never running out of virtual money.

The other question is, why we need to play this game?
Well, may be you love betting. Or, you love starcraft and always curious about the tournament result. Or, you just love to competing people in any kind of form. Or, you’re suck at the game (like me) but love it so much to watch the replay or starcraft Tournament video (especially with your favorite caster like HD, Husky or other.)

I remember, when at my first semester of college, I got the Demo version of Starcraft. This game is my first RTS game on my brand new IBM Cyrix 233mhz CPU. Yeah, I know…that’s an old bustet jar. But during that era, it was a rocking gaming rig (even my friend is drooling when he saw my PC).

I was little bit annoyed of how Starcraft work at first. I mean “why do I need to click on Move button and click on the map to move my Marines? Is there any simple method to move them?” It turn out, you could just right click to move them

Also, Starcraft is the first game that gave me a chill. I was not accustomed with a very tiny character and war area that covered by black fog. When the Zergling pop out and kill my Marine, I was like: “Aw sh*t! That was scary”. No, I’m not kidding, I was scared, seeing a tiny Marine get murdered by a tiny alien in my monitor. Why? Because the Marine’s dying scream is loud and real.

Then, my friend told me: “Dude, this is RTS. Quantity is a key to your victory.” So, I’m massing my Marine, and then kill a Zergling with 5 Marines “Damn, it feel good~~~!”. And the sensation was even better when I’m massing my Siege Tank and marching all of them to the Zerg base and then blast away. (Zerg was called as Xenomorph during that time).

But I never knew, Starcraft is a big hit in Korea. I knew it was booming in Korean Cyber Cafe, but I never know it will lead into a E-SPORT. With all of the tournament, competition, prize, sponsors, fame, etc.

Then, we jumped to present time: Where Starcraft II is released, and showing amazing development.

Unlike the predecessor, Starcraft II is a 3D game. It require a nice PC spec, which are not available in my laptop.  So I end up playing this game in Cyber Cafe.

Surprising enough, this game need to have an account in battle.net server (even if you’re only want to play the campaign). So I’m googling up and found out if many people was get annoyed because Starcraft II does not have LAN feature.

My mind is thinking fast and resulting: “Oooooh, Blizzard, you’re good! So this is how you trying to reduce piracy on your product”. This strat is remind me of Assassin Creed 2. This game also need internet connection, for authorization (or whatever term they call).

I was annoyed (again) with Starcraft II. “Oh man, this game already giving me a lot of frustation to begin with…” So, I need to registered into Battle.net and then buy the game… oh wait… I can download the game…? Huh, over than 6 gigs installation file???

Then after all of that problem. I fire up the game, log in, play the campaign, beat the game in a week. And start dealing with the Multiplayer. Damn I was suck, I lose against easy AI… (and I still suck right now ).

In this manga we can learn how a carefree man, who live alone, now must worked hard into a good father for his “suddenly poped out” daughter. How he must maintain the balance of his “world” and with his parental responsibility, or how he must making a crucial decision (like buying his “REAL” daughter a clothes or buy “a daughter”) Or, how he must dealing with her daughter’s classmates.

But now, this story is ended, even I thought this series can be developed a little bit longer. The ending is quite nice, even I must admit, I got a rage for a while because of how this story ended. But then, I saw something interesting…

The ending of this series is good, we can see the story development of each characters. What happen to Kanau, Kouta, and others after two years (the last chapter is leaping for two years). We even can see some minor character that got epilogue, I’m so happy because previously I got raged because how “Virgin na Kankei” ended.

The author really can make me feel annoyed
Why? Because a portion of the ending almost similar to Virgin na Kankei’s ending, but I’ll talk about Virgin na Kankei in other post.
WHERE IS HARUKA?! WHERE IS HER EPILOGUE, damn it!
That’s what I was shout out in my mind after seeing END label on the page.

But then I realize it,  if the last chapter still got several pages, I thought It was pages of illustration and author’s note, I don’t have the mood to read that. But I decided to read it anyway.
WTF?!?!
She got a child?! Haruka’s child is… BUT WHEN?! WHERE..?!?!?!
